Ashley Greene, who is best known for playing Alice Cullen in the Twilight film franchise, turns 25 today, Feb. 21. The brunette beauty who initially planned to become a model, has come a long way since Crossing Jordan. The Pan Am star has made a splash on the Hollywood scene and is even becoming a fashion icon.
We wish her happy birthday and we hope she is having an amazing day with her loved ones and lots of fun. In honor of her big day, we’ve compiled Ashley’s sexiest looks through the years.
‘Twilight’
Have you ever made the Twilight fan pilgrimmage to Forks, Washington? If so, there may soon be a reason to go back, and if not, some people in Forks are devising a major attraction to encourage your visit.
According to Forks Forum, a retired teacher from Forks named Rosemary Colandrea is currently piecing together items for a Twilight museum, and evidently, she’s already made some major progress.
“Colandrea said an unnamed donor has supplied the funds to bring an arch used as a main prop in the filming of ‘Twilight,’ the first film in Summit Entertainment’s five-film Twilight Saga series,” Forks Forum reports. The arch in question is likely the same one seen in the prom scene from Twilight (which was located at the recently fire-devastated The View Point Inn).
She has also reportedly secured first dibs at John Henson (a collector of Twilight merchandise items who’s been running his own traveling museum show for several years now and aids The Hillywood Show with costumes and props for their parodies)’s collection when he goes to sell it, which will be after this November’s release of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2.

Folk-tinged U.K. pop quartet Bombay Bicycle Club began in 2005 as the Canals to play at a high-school assembly in their Crouch End neighbourhood of London.
Jack Steadman (lead vocals, guitar), Jamie MacColl (guitar) and Suren de Saram (drums) went through a number of bassists before Ed Nash joined up in the summer of 2006.
Changing their name after a chain of Indian restaurants, the 15- and 16-year-olds set about conquering the charts by entering and winning Virgin Mobile’s Road to V competition on Channel 4, securing them the opening slot at the 2006 V Festival in Staffordshire.
The NME was calling them “the hottest band to come from North London for quite some time” by the next summer.
Releasing two independent EPs on Mmm. . . Records, the band graduated high school in 2008, inked a record deal and saw its debut album I Had the Blues But I Shook Them Loose come out in late 2009.
They won the best new band award at the 2010 NME Award. But it was landing the song “How Can You Swallow So Much Sleep” as a bonus track on the Twilight Saga: Eclipse soundtrack, which got the ball rolling internationally. Flaw (2010) signalled a direction shift into acoustic territory, which fit in with the growing Mumford & Sons style taking hold. Everything is plugged back in on A Different Kind of Fix.
“We’ve worked with the same producer, Jim Abiss, on all the albums and we find that he’s a really good fit. He’s great at finding guitar sounds, which is important to me as I’m more the computer sort,” says Steadman. “And while we have a lot of really solid ideas, he’s the one who often comes up with the good suggestions on the arrangements. He really helps us with that.”
Songs such as the new single “Shuffle” are thrashing good fun. Curiously, “Shuffle” began as one of the atmospheric electronic beat solo tracks Steadman posts on his Soundcloud site. He does the electronic music mostly “as a hobby to come down from band life,” but sometimes it produces something that clicks for the combo.
“With ‘Shuffle,’ I had this piano loop from this very old jazz recording which I was using to build this instrumental hip hop song and came across it when I had hit a brick wall and was looking for some inspiration for something in the band scenario.”
At the time of this interview, the band was sorting out the setlist for its first North American tour.
“We’re very excited to come to Vancouver as our manager used to live there and he has nothing but extremely favourable things to say about the place,” Steadman says.
Too bad our very own local Bombay Bicycle Club closed down awhile back. It would have made for a brilliant photo opportunity.
Kristen Stewart seems to think her character in Snow White and the Huntsman and her Twilight Saga character, Bella Swan have a lot in common. While their similarities might not be apparent to anyone else, KStew should know. She played the two seemingly very different women in back-to-back films. So what does the clumsy, clingy, co-dependent Bella Swan have in common with the “fairest of them all?” Aside, that is, from the fact that both characters have been brought to life on film by La Stewart?
“They both come to find that they’re leaders,” Kristen Stewart explained in a recent interview with Teen.com. “That’s definitely a similarity. Both of them are sort of a little more intuitive and spiritually, for whatever reason, connected, and their gut is always sort of dead right.”
Hmm. Well, if KStew says so. Of course, audiences have yet to see her bring Snow White to life and therefore, they can’t accurately compare and contrast the two. It’s interesting that KStew considers Bella Swan a leader. Throughout most of Twilight, she seems like more of a damsel in distress. Snow White is too, of course, but not by choice.
Oh well, Snow White and the Huntsman is scheduled for release in theaters on June 1. You can decide for yourself what if anything KStew’s two characters have in common and which one you like best. Not surprisingly, the vast majority of respondents in a recent Hollywood Life poll think they’ll still prefer Bella Swan. A 61.69% chose Edward Cullen’s lady-love over the paltry 15.73% who preferred the fairy tale heroine. 22.58% decided they’d wait to see Show White and the Huntsman before deciding.

Although still a big draw, Twilight appears to be fading in Forks.
The flow of visitors has slowed from 73,000 in 2010 to 45,000 in 2011, according to the Forks Visitor Information Center.
That’s still a huge increase over the four-digit numbers of pre-Twilight days.
Interest in Twilight fills tours, according to Forks Chamber of Commerce Manager Marcia Bingham, and numerous stores in town carry memorabilia.
But the slide in visitor numbers still shows a slowdown in the popularity of the town that is the setting of the four-novel saga about teen love and vampires — which has spun off four movies, with a fifth due out in November.
So the Stephenie Meyer Day Committee — named after the author of the best-selling series — is working to keep the fans coming.
“The committee is trying to keep people coming to Forks,” said Rosemary Colandrea, spokeswoman for the 12-member committee that formed in 2011.
“Our slogan is: Come for Twilight. Stay for Forks.”
Colandrea said the group is considering ways to revive interest in Twilight.
“There’s a huge fan base,” she said.
“We want to keep it going.”
A new event this year will be Twilight weddings.
Thirty people can have weddings performed — or vows renewed — on three days in August, leading up to Aug. 13, the date Bella Swan married her vampire swain, Edward Cullen, in “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1,” which was released in November.
“The wedding will look just like the wedding from the movie,” Colandrea said.
Couples will be surrounded by wisteria, and ceremonies will use an arch that is a copy of the one used in a parody of the movie on The Hillywood Show at www.thehillywoodshow, an Internet site known for its spoofs of the “Twilight Saga.”
The ceremonies — up to 10 each day — will be performed by Colandrea’s husband, Nino, who is a nondenominational minister.
No site has been confirmed yet, though “we’re negotiating with a few people to get an outdoor site for the weddings,” Colandrea said.
Nevertheless, reservations are being taken now through June 13.
The fees are $1,595 on Saturday, Aug. 11, $1,795 on Sunday, Aug. 12, and $1,995 on Monday, Aug. 13.
The Twilight weddings would be performed after the June 7 effective date of a new state law legalizing gay marriage — though the date could be delayed if opponents are successful in taking the issue to the voters.
If gay marriage is legal by August, “we’re open to everybody,” Colandrea said.

Also planned is a film festival at this year’s Stephenie Meyer Day Weekend, which will be Sept. 14-16.
Hillary and Hannah Hindi, a pair of sisters who operate the online Hillywood Show, have confirmed that they will provide parodies, and other films are in the works, Colandrea said.
Last year’s Stephenie Meyer Day Weekend drew between 2,000 and 3,000 people, Colandrea said, and the committee hopes to at least match that this fall with expanded events.
The town’s first Stephenie Meyer Day was in 2006.
An idea the committee is developing is a Twilight museum.
Colandrea told about 35 people at a Forks Chamber of Commerce meeting last week that once the darkness falls on the “Twilight Saga” movie series and the flood of fans likely slows to a trickle, a Twilight museum could keep a steady flow of visitors coming to town.
She and other organizers have scheduled a grand opening date, Sept. 13, 2014 — corresponding with Bella’s birthday — but have no location and no investors.
Colandrea asked Forks business people at the Wednesday meeting to invest in the museum and help find an affordable location.
“If we had something permanent here, it would draw visitors,” Colandrea said later.
A permanent museum would give Twilight visitors a place to go, a home for the many Twilight-themed items that already exist in Forks and a fitting place to display collections from other areas of the country, she said.
It would feature original and recreated items from the movies, The Hillywood Show, recreations of movie sets or scenes from the books and posters, scripts and other items.
Colandrea said the committee has purchased the arch from the prom scene filmed at The View Point Inn in Corbett, Ore., from the first movie, “Twilight,” and the set director’s handbook.
The arch, which is currently being shipped to Forks in three pieces, would serve as the formal entrance to the museum, Colandrea said.
She declined to reveal the purchase price.
“Twilight” collector John Henson, of Nevada, who owns the largest collection of “Twilight” memorabilia — including all the furniture in the movie set of Bella Swan’s bedroom — has given the museum organizers the right of first refusal to purchase or lease the items, she said.

Former Barbershop star Toni Trucks has joined CBS’ legal drama pilot Baby Big Shot.
In the project, which revolves around a working-class woman named Marina who uses her street smarts to compete with her more polished colleagues at a top New York law firm, Trucks will play Cindi, Marina’s edgy secretary and “comradette” in arms.
The actress, whose credits include Showtime’s short-lived Barbershop series, will next appear in Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2 as American Nomad coven member Mary as well as Fox Searchlight’s He Loves Me.
Baby Big Shot, which hails from Sony Pictures Television, CBS Television Studios and Fanfare, will be executive produced by Jamie Tarses, Julia Franz and Kevin Falls, who will serve as showrunner. Dana Calvo will co-exec produce.
Trucks is repped by Greene & Associates and Rugolo Entertainment. CBS picked up the project to pilot last month.

We’ve heard about star’s using a butt double to make sure their assets look their best, but Kristen Stewart had a double of sorts for her birth scenes in Twilight’s latest installment for ‘Breaking Dawn’.
We were all weirded out, watching Edward and Bella’s baby kill her from the inside, and we watched as Kristen Stewart appeared more and more emaciated, but who did the director pull off such a shocking visual?
Well, by using a robot! Yes, a robot.
‘Twilight’s’ animatronics department put together a Bella-like robot to pull off the horrific moments, where she appears to have wasted away.
Talking to MTV, John Rosengrant, the movie’s animatronics and special makeup effects supervisor said: “It’s very hybrid, the approach. We tried to shape the whole Bella, what she looks like emaciated and all that, but it’s also digitally augmented, and that was from the get-go, this was going to be a hybrid-type effect.”
Even Rosengrant said that it was “creepy”. “It was creepy when we created the look of her, in a good way,” he explained.
“I was actually shocked that was the edict and I think that is maybe [credit] to Bill Condon as the director, wanting to make something like that real because the previous movies didn’t strike me that they would embrace something like this.”
Are you surprised? Well at least we’re glad that Kristen didn’t have to drop all of that weight. There’s nothing of her as it is!
The latest “Twilight” movie sold more DVDs on its opening weekend than the prior installment, but Bella, Edward and Jacob are still well behind their record.
“The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 1,” the fourth picture in the hit teen vampire series, sold an estimated 3.2 million DVD and Blu-ray copies from its Saturday morning debut through Sunday night, according to Lionsgate’s recently acquired Summit Entertainment unit, which released the film theatrically in November.
That’s about 18% more than the home entertainment bow of the last “Twilight” picture, “Eclipse.”
However, it’s 20% behind the debut sales of “New Moon,” the second “Twilight” movie, which sold 4 million copies it first weekend. The original “Twilight” sold 3.8 million copies on its first weekend.
“Eclipse” was the only “Twilight” movie to launch on DVD in December, as it was also the only one to hit theaters in the summer. The first two debuted on DVD in March of 2009 and 2010, respectively, closer to the February date for the latest installment.
Summit charged a higher wholesale price for “Breaking Dawn — Part 1″ than previous “Twilight” movies, meaning revenue per copy sold was higher than in the past.
“Breaking Dawn” also sold 50,000 digital copies and was rented 80,000 times via video-on-demand. Those figures are up 47% and 142%, respectively, over “Eclipse,” according to Summit.
The final “Twilight” movie, “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 2,” is due in theaters Nov. 16.
