For those of you who liked the Twilight soundtrack, be prepared for something different. The Twilight CD showcased some well known bands like Paramore, Linkin Park, Collective Soul and played it safe.

The New Moon soundtrack is more arty featuring more indy rock and ventures into a different world. Yes New Moon conttains some better known names like Death Cab for Cutie, Radiohead’s Thom Yorke, and even the Killers but cult acts like Anya Marina (“Satellite Heart” is great), Grizzly Bear, and others tend to rule this cd. This is a much slower, somber and moodier tone than the Twilight CD.

Listen to the words of the songs…you’ll get a history on vampires, how we all first knew of them (evil) to where we are now where the heroine pines for the kiss of the hero’s bite, hoping to be transformed….
